Where to Catch My Work

Expressions of Time

Originally created for the Biggs Museum of American Art, this group photo show
comes to Philadelphia with new work and an additional artist. The nine members of
ArtLane PCG challenged themselves to capture the four dimensions of time
in two dimensions. Using a wide range of techniques, each artist created
a body of work that reveals each one's unique interpretation.

   About Heather Siple

Click here to view a résumé.

Like many photographers, I got my start early. In fact, I pretended to take pictures of everything around me long before I was old enough to have my first 110 camera. From my father, a second-generation photographer himself, I learned the elements of composition and the basics of developing and printing at a very early age. I was fascinated with this ability to "paint with light." After six years of yearbook photography and four years of college, I decided to use the medium for much more self-expressive purposes and pursued fine art professionally.

Since that time, I have been fortunate enough to be shown in galleries internationally, including The Biggs Museum of American Art in Dover, Delaware, USA, Salon Blanco, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the EFTI school of photography in Madrid, Spain and the gallery of Foto Club Terrasa in Barcelona, Spain.

Although some of my imagery comes from far afield, most of my work is taken in places close to my heart and my home. I find that taking a different perspective on the familiar can bring as many discoveries as traveling somewhere new. So, I spend quite a bit of time crawling in the dirt and climbing into odd corners to examine something from a slightly different angle. I always find something new to discover.
